Covering our PrintSale an party for 2007. Prints Charming? Who the Hell is that?

Regional Design Annual Published in 2004 these works seemed focused around our letterpress printing. The four pieces highlighted here were all printed in the studio and also represent two of the three most important collaborations of the studio thus far, one with Educator and Typographer Ed Fella and the other with Publisher and designer of Sherbert Magazine Dan Weise.

Our business card design for the Magic Circle Mime Company made it into this book. Of course a MIME company has a card with a Blind Emboss.

A book all about 1 color jobs, which we did a lot of in our first few years... Some new, some old and clearly some blue works made it into Chen's book for Rockport on one color graphics, it can take you back to the times of desperate low budget work, ouch. Farrell Lowe was a great collaborator and client and Mike Ross from the Miller theatre in NY was behind a number of great works of this time. I love low budget work. Kinda.

Anna Gerber and Laurence King Publishers contacted us from the UK and asked for some misprints for their book, apparently our misprints were good enough for inclusion in the book that ends up being a little difficult to find stateside.

Rockport Publishers published this book all about the tactile nature of graphic deign works. We were pleased to design the book and the author asked us to contribute the objects which we were dispensing at the time to communicate with prospects, clients and allies.
Dear friend and client Phil Silberman is captured in this piece, showing off his invention the 'poetrycard' and we are proud to be mentioned in the article. Phil came to Rick almost 5 years to the date (of the article) with a crude prototype looking for some ideas about how this quirky word game might make itself into a piece of ephemera.

Rick's family homesteaded a storefront in NW Denver and this story, while not showing a single picture of the bathroom, seems to feature the griffith family rest stop. It goes into some detail about the rest of the house too.

Almost entirely MATTER branded products and promos are the fare of this Regional Design inclusion...from Print. I don't think we're willing to concede that the work we did for clients was bad. It was a while ago, I'm not sure if I remember that well.

Patrick's Sweeney wrote this article after becoming fascinated with the work we did and the kinds of apparatus we had on hand. I suppose we were thrilled. I think this might have been a case of business fetishism.
