We make products that we use. Over time, we found that the tools we wanted for our day-to-day use didn't exist in a format in which we were most interested. Our solution? Use the resources that we had at our disposal (read: printer, paper, ink) to create tools for us to use. We're happy with the end result, and we find that a good number of other designers, architects, engineers, and interior designers are happy with the result, as well.

Over time, we've found we do our best when we act as though all of our resources are scarce. This lead to our discovery of how amazing rescuing paper can be. The rescue consists of us saving never-been-touched paper prior to it heading off to the recycling centers world-wide and using up so many other resources.

What you'll find with our MATTERIAL line, is that everything is made within the US. Our soft goods are sweat-shop free, our paper products and prints are all created in-house, right here at MATTER.
